Philosophy:
A native of Dallas, Dr. Walters is a fellowship-trained pain management specialist who focuses on conservative treatments such as physical therapy, medications, and spinal injections to diagnose and treat pain.
Dr. Walters is double board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as Pain Management. After earning his medical degree with honors from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, he completed his residency training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where he focused on outpatient musculoskeletal pain syndromes, with an emphasis on conservative treatment of the spine. He then pursued further training at UCLA's prestigious fellowship program in Pain Management, where he became proficient in fluoroscopically guided spinal injections to diagnose and treat pain. Dr. Walters is also trained in electrodiagnostic medicine (EMG) & nerve conduction studies (NCS), which utilizes a nerve test performed in the office to aid in the diagnosis and prognosis of spinal conditions.
In addition, Dr. Walters is one of the few physicians chosen to serve and represent the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners as an expert panelist in Pain Management.
