Interests:
Yoga!
I have ~20 years practice with on-going studies in Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Anasara Yoga. Some of my primary teachers include Richard Freeman, Laura Allard (Boulder, CO), Baxter Williams, and Jamie Alison. During the 1990's I taught yoga for a Lifestyle Wellness program on the Colorado State University campus. I continue to practice at different levels, always focusing on correct alignment and the breath.
As an Occupational Therapist I would like to include Yoga and breath into my practice. I have noticed that many people hold their breath during therapy because of pain or fear. Simple breathing techniques can help to alleviate anxiety and discomfort.
