I work without a PA or nurse so that I can directly interact with my patients and so that they can have direct access to me. I try to present a warm caring environment in the clinic and have chosen my employees carefully to reflect this philosophy. In addistion to spending time listening to my patients, I spend time educating them on their condition and on the various options that may be available for treatment so that they can make informed choices about their treatment. When it comes to surgical intervention, I practice up-to-date spinal surgery using safe, proven techniques. I am involved in limited clinical trials and no patient is ever pressured into treatment they do not feel comfortable with. I am Board Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (1984).
