1 Animal model: In Vivo mice disease model: inflammation-based model (Virus challenge, LPS challenge), Streptozotocin-induced diabetic model; In vivo rats disease model: quartz powder induced pulmonary fibrosis model, narrow kidney artery induced hypertension model, narrow anterior descending artery coronary induced heart failure model; In vivo rabbit disease model: high fat and cholesterol induced arteriosclerosis; asthma model on guinea pigs, animal experiment basic techniques ( intravenous injection, intra-peritoneal injection, etc. and separation peritoneal macrophages and PMN cells), isolate ROS from pig eyes, animal operation. 2. Primary Cell cultures and Cellular Biology: dissection organs from in vivo animals and conduct primary cell culture, live/dead assay, apoptosis assay, phagocytosis and Flow Cytometry analysis, ELISA, cell proliferation assay (MTT method[3H]TdR incorporation), Intracellular cytokine staining, cell cycle DNA staining and analysis, cell apoptosis staining on cultured cells. 3. Microscopy: Fluorescence microscopy and Confoal microscopy and live cell imaging. 4. Histology and immunostaining: H&E staining, IHC, immunofluorescence. 5. Molecular Biology and Biochemistry: PCR, RT-PCR and standard techniques for molecular cloning; expression and purification of recombinant proteins in bacterial and mammalian cell, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, Southern Blot, immunoprecipitation; protein analysis (quantitation, sizing, etc.). 6. Computer literacy: Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, EXCEL, Adobe Photoshop, Endnote. Strong background in both Mac and PC operating systems.
