I use a positive psychology approach, focusing on client strengths as we address issues and obstacles to well being. I focus on the naturally occurring health in each person, and work to remove barriers to that natural state of health and happiness. Each person has a story, and their emotions and behaviors make sense in the context of that story. I encourage full responsibility for all thoughts, emotions and behaviors, which provides full freedom to change. I am straight forward and practical in my approach, and map out a treatment plan for each client I see. I fully explain every approach I use. I believe that the more clients understand what we're doing and where we're going, the more successful we will be.
