Awards:
CEO Diamond Club
Robert McGee
At AT&T there are two different distinguishing awards handed out. The first is something called "CEO Club" which is for the top 1% of the salespeople in the country. The second is called "Diamond Club" which is for the top 1% of the CEO Club winners. I won both of these on my first year.
Sniper Team
Gene Sieders
I was one of the six reps, chosen out of over 350 who was placed on a special team called "The Sniper Team." The team was designed around my sales tactics that had been proven to work since I started working at AT&T.
The way my approach differed from other people's approaches is, knowing that new business brought in more money for the company than returning business, I was targeting what I liked to call "infant level businesses" via adds being posted on classified sites. I had designed a standard package to sell these start-up businesses that was both easy on their pockets, as well as commitment, which was working great.
The team was designed to use these tactics to "save" markets approaching deadline that were not up to their quota. The sniper team would go in with the "one-call sales" in 2 week periods bringing the markets up to their quota.
In the time that I was there, we never let a market close without being at it's targeted number.
Top New Business Salesmen
Dan Hernandez
I recieved this award for bringing in the most revenue in new business in my first year on the floor.
Manager of the Year
Dan Felix
I was awarded this not just for being the youngest manager out of the 65 offices in the country, but for taking the office in Troy, MI from being in the bottom 10, to being the number 1 office in the country. The efforts I contributed in Atlanta helped earn me this award to, as I spent a month down there, bringing that office to number 3.
Top Gun of the Year
Dan Felix
Each year all the top sales reps would compete against each other in a year long sales contest called "Top Gun."
To win the contest, it came down to 110% what you sold, and how much of it stuck. Whoever won was awarded a leather bomber's jacket embroided with our chosen "Top Gun Handle" (Mind was "Daddy") and a pair of aviator sunglasses at the company wide celebration at the end of each year.
I was only a salesrep for one year before being promoted, therefor could only partake in this competition once, and I wond it my first year.
