Philosophy:
The successful treatment of any musculo-skeletal injury or problem is achieved only when there is a combined effort toward recovery by both the patient and the physician. The first goal is to educate patients regarding their condition and the treatment options available. Then the patient and physician together can determine the best course of treatment. Many problems can be treated without surgery. When surgery is indicated, state-of-the-art techniques, materials and implants allow patients the quickest possible return to their regular lifestyle and the best possible result. Dr. Tucker's areas of special interest and expertise are hip and knee replacement and revision surgery and arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. He was the first Orthopaedic Surgeon in Dallas to perform minimally invasive total knee replacement and performs minimally invasive hip replacement where appropriate as well.
