An anchoring apparatus that is suitable for use in anchoring a first member (such as but not limited to a façade material) () to a second member (such as but not limited to a building exterior) (). This anchoring apparatus can comprise, for example, a base member () that is configured and arranged to move selectively along an anchor limb () (which might be, for example, secured to the second member) and a plurality of fingers () that are attached to the base member and which are selectively movable, only once, from a non-deployed state to a deployed state.
