I have been a respiratory therapist since 1987. I have also increased my skill set by attending and completing the Cerner Certified Training Program. This was completed at Cerner Headquarters. I have been instrumental in the evaluation and implementation of multiple EMR Systems. Proficient in gap analysis and the strategic execution of EMR systems from conception, training of super users, to implementation. I am well versed in ICU, NICU, ER, Clinic and Office settings. I have worked in the Clinical, Diagnostic, Rehabilitative and Acute Care setting. I have assisted in the development; as it relates to clinical understanding, and implementation of several EMR systems, examples are; Cerner, including but not limited to FirstNet, SurgiNet, CPOE ePrescibe, Med Reconciliation, PowerChart, McKesson, EPIC, Waiting Room Solutions, and PrognoCIS. I am extremely proficient in the ability to analyze the workflow in either; hospital, clinic and physician setting, as well as the Sub-Acute, Skilled Facility, and Long . I have the ability to partner and implement projects from start to finish, from conception to inception. I have actively participated in the training and ongoing support of Physician, Nurses and key clinical staff in EMR usage. I am Cerner Certified Training Professional, Licensed Respiratory Therapists ; Certified in Pulmonary Function Testing, Board Certified in Sleep Diagnostics, not only with BRPT (RPSGT), but also with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (RST). I also have an extensive background in research and project management. Some previous projects; include; evaluate and implementing EMR systems, at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta, Sleep Disorders Center of Panama City , and the NeuroMedical Institute, NMI also included identifying and developing the research department, opening a sleep center; this was management from the initial build thru accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Currently completing the Project Management Professionals program with Project Management Institution.
