Philosophy:

W. Christian Oakley, MD has been practicing surgery in Boise for more than 25 years. The most experienced bariatric surgeon in Idaho, Dr. Oakley performed the first minimally invasive weight loss operation in the state (laparoscopic gastric bypass) in 2001, and has since performed more than 1,000 such procedures. Dr. Oakley is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is a member of the active staff at St. Luke's Medical Center in Boise, where he is a past president of the medical staff.
