Philosophy:
In my practice of addiction medicine I use the disease model of addiction as the basis of my treatment of my patients. The disease model applies equally to those with chemical addictions as well as those with process or behavioral addictions. Using a combination of many therapeutic models, medication and 12 step/spiritual recovery, I am part of a team that believes in the value of the individual and that recovery is available to all who are willing to invest themselves in the recovery process.
