As a midwife, I believe in giving each patient more time to communicate the issues that are important to them. This means sometimes your appointment lasts 15 minutes, and sometimes 30 or more. When women are pregnant or in labor, I want to give them a personal experience to last a lifetime. I try to include fathers and siblings in the decision-making and care, because the family must work together to be strong and happy. And that's a great way to welcome a new life into the world!
