System And Method For Automatic Conditioning Of Clinically Related Billing

US Patent:
2005014, Jul 7, 2005
Filed:
Jan 2, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/750322
Inventors:
Timothy Johnson - Denver CO, US
International Classification:
G06F017/60
US Classification:
705004000
Abstract:
A system and related techniques capture and regulate the stream of billing items generated in a hospital or other clinical facility for compliance with federal Medicare or other regulatory or other guidelines. In embodiments a conditioning engine may apply rules-based logic or other filters to raw billing information derived from clinical tests, procedures, prescriptions or other patient encounters or care. That raw billing information may be examined for compliance with current regulatory or other guidelines against a compliance database or template, to determine for example whether clinical lab or test records, charts or other necessary documentation exists to support a billed item and satisfy reimbursement guidelines. Billing items whose supporting documentation does not exist or requires further exploration may be conveyed to a holds queue, to hold the billing on those items until documentation may be resolved. Administrators and others may then examine held items for release and bill drop. Because billing items are conditioned to satisfy Medicare or other standards prior to transmission of a bill or invoice, compliance may be assured or significantly enhanced as compared to prior industry practices such as retroactive audits for Medicare compliance.

Combination Guitar Arm Rest And Leg Rest For Improved Guitar Sound Resonance

US Patent:
7205468, Apr 17, 2007
Filed:
Jul 11, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/177317
Inventors:
Timothy L. Johnson - Denver CO, US
International Classification:
G10D 3/00
US Classification:
84327, 84421, 84453
Abstract:
A combination guitar arm rest and leg rest for attachment to a portion of a body of a guitar and holding the guitar away from a guitar player's arm or elbow and above the player's leg. The combination includes an arm rest pad and a leg rest pad. The arm rest pad and the leg rest pad are pivotally attached to a tang. The tang is pivotally mounted on a yoke. The yoke is pivotally attached to one end of a pair of struts. An opposite end of the struts is pivotally mounted on a suction cup pivot pin. Opposite ends of the pivot pin are attached to a pair of suction cups. The suction cups are adapted for releasable attachment to the body of the guitar. The tang, the yoke and the struts allow the arm rest pad and the leg rest pad to be pivoted in an “XY” vertical plane, a “YZ” vertical plane and a “XZ” horizontal plane for infinite adjustments by the guitar player.

Guitar Fulcrum

US Patent:
6005175, Dec 21, 1999
Filed:
Apr 7, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/056830
Inventors:
Timothy Lee Johnson - Denver CO
International Classification:
G10D 300
US Classification:
84327
Abstract:
A guitar fulcrum is described herein which is used as an elbow rest for the elbow of a right or a left arm of a guitar player when playing a guitar. A standard guitar is designed for a person having an average height of 5 feet 10 inches. The fulcrum is designed for guitar players having a height greater than 5 feet 10 inches and/or with longer forearms and longer hands than people of this height. The guitar fulcrum allows for the proper placement of the player's fingers on the guitar strings adjacent a sweet spot above the sound hole of the guitar. Also, the guitar fulcrum positions the wrist lower than the elbow in a passive position. The passive position of the wrist relieves muscular tension produced in the forearm when having to hold up the hand in an active position. The guitar fulcrum includes an ergonomically designed elbow pad adapted for comfortably engaging a portion of the user's elbow. The elbow pad is pivotly mounted on upper ends of a pair of adjustable struts.
