Philosophy:
I believe that medication can be a useful tool to help people to experience mental and emotional stability in order to be able to participate in therapy. I also believe that they can be useful to help people to maintain and continue the progress that they have made in recovery towards experiencing the best life that they can. I believe that the most important aspect of using medications to treat mental and emotional issues is that there is a strong collaborative relationship between the client and the mental health professional. Honesty regarding the potential risks and benefits of each medication are essential for individuals to be able to make decisions in their treatment. Therefore, I welcome feedback regarding the benefits and side effects of medications. Likewise, I welcome discussions regarding any concerns about particular medications so that we may discuss them and so that we can make informed decisions together about what will work best for you in your journey to wellness.
