Abstract:
A telecommunication system includes a processor, interfaces in communication with the public telephone network and a data network, respectively, and a memory. The memory comprises executable instructions that when executed by the processor direct the system to controllably permit access to a teleconference bridge in response to a communication from a mobile-communication device that includes information responsive to a previously communicated license key. Generally, the communication is in the form of a call from the user of the mobile-communication device. Upon receipt of the call, the telecommunication system confirms that the mobile-communication device communicates a pass code that was included in an encrypted form in the license key.

Mobile-Device Directed Conference Calling

Mobile-Device Directed Conference Calling

US Patent:
2007011, May 17, 2007
Filed:
Nov 14, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/273163
Inventors:
Randolph Leigh - Monument CO, US
Thomas Miller - Colorado Springs CO, US
David Guthrie - Atlanta GA, US
J. Tapp - Atlanta GA, US
International Classification:
H04M 3/42
US Classification:
455417000
Abstract:
A method for mobile-device directed conference calling comprises receiving information from a subscriber of a mobile-communication service, communicating an access number and providing executable instructions to the mobile-communication device that expose a conference service to the subscriber, wherein when the subscriber selects an option from the mobile-communication device, the mobile-communication device initiates a call to a conference service that uses automatic number identification to authenticate the subscriber and connect the call with a teleconference bridge. A system comprises a processor, interfaces in communication with the public telephone network and a data network, respectively, and a memory. The system receives information from a subscriber of a mobile-communication service, communicates an access number to the subscriber and configures the mobile-communication device to expose a conference service to the subscriber. Abstract:
A conferencing system that can be configured by a host, and then reconfigured on the fly, in real time. The host initially provides configuration information to the system to define the initial operation of the conference call. The host can then update this information during the conference call to reconfigure the conference call. For instance, the information may include a question set. The initial question set is presented to participants as they enter the conference call. When the configuration information is changed by providing a new question, the new question is then presented to the participants in the conference call.
