Terry L. Habig, M.D. received his orthopaedic training at Tulane Medical School. He completed special training at the Hughston Sports Medicine Clinic in Columbus, Georgia, and orthopaedic rehabilitation at Rancho Los Amigos Hospital in Downey, California. Dr Habig served as President of the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association 1993-1994. He has worked with high school, intercollegiate and professional athletes in the New Orleans area. He served as team physician for a national professional football team. Dr Habig's professional interests are in sports injuries to the shoulder and knee. Dr Habig has been twice elected Top Doctor in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery by a panel of physician peers in the state of Louisiana (New Orleans Magazine, August 1993 and New Orleans Magazine, August 2000.) Dr Habig has served as chairperson of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Host Committee, 1977.
