Philosophy:

Dr. Polit welcomes patients of all ages from newborns through adults. She emphasizes the complete care of each patient as an individual and actively works with them to pursue the best health that they can achieve. Dr. Polit has been in private practice for over ten years, after serving as clinical faculty at two Indianapolis Family Practice residency programs. Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Polit received her Bachelor of Science with a double major in Zoology and French from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1989. She went on directly to the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM). UNECOM is the only medical school in the state of Maine and the only Osteopathic medical school in New England. There she completed her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 1993. Her clinical rotations included training in surgery in Allentown PA, Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hyde Park in downtown Chicago, IL, Internal Medicine in Olympia Fields, IL, and Osteopathi
