Interests:
In addition to helping people plan for their futures through sound financial planning, my passions include a commitment to community service and to education – both in working with clients, and in volunteer activities in the community, including serving presently or recently in three non-profit organizations, and as a literacy program tutor volunteer. I like challenges: getting my pilot’s license, hiking large sections of the Appalachian Trail, and spending three years as the president of a women’s outdoor skills and leadership program. Gardening and bird-watching are life long passions.
Honor & Awards:
I have been interviewed by Marketplace Money (American Public Radio) and in Kiplinger’s Magazine, Investment News, and other publications on a variety of financial planning topics. I've appeared on WBIX Business 1060 AM and in Best's Review about the financial planning needs of nontraditional families. My columns on financial planning have been published in the Christian Science Monitor and Inside Tucson Business, and I've published several articles, winning an award for excellence for an article published in the Journal of Financial Services Professionals, “Financial Planning for Nontraditional Families.”
Certifications:
Ceritifed Financial Planner, Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards
