Dr. Bankston was born and raised in Baton Rouge. She received her M.D. degree at LSU, Shreveport. Her internship was completed at Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital, and residency in Pediatrics at LSU, Shreveport. Dr. Bankston was board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1996, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Bankston was formerly Director of KIDMED, Lallie Kemp Medical Center, in Independence, LA. She came to The Baton Rouge Clinic in July, 1996.
