Philosophy:

My care philosophy is to maximize function, at any level of illness. The best care does not come from medications alone. To achieve the best care for older adults, family and community systems must be activated, and mental health care should be coordinated with primary care. Our clinic is part of the University of Michigan Geriatrics Center, with access to multidisciplinary expertise, and superb social work resources. We are affiliated with the University of Michigan Program for Positive Aging- which has a focus on wellness and prevention- leveraging community and university-wide expertise. We are also affiliated with the University of Michigan Depression Center, the first of the nationwide network of depression centers in the country, breaking down the stigma of mental illness.
