People come to therapy feeling vulnerable--they are going through difficult times, or have old wounds that have never healed, or perhaps they are depressed or anxious. I want to be a safe person, someone they can trust not to judge or hurt them. As we get to know and trust one another, I can help them clear away confusion, heal old wounds, and see themselves in a better, more realistic light. In this way they are better able to make healthy choices in their lives.
