Walled Structure Apparatus

US Patent:
7407425, Aug 5, 2008
Filed:
Jun 15, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/454036
Inventors:
Stewart P. Jeske - Kansas City MO, US
International Classification:
A63H 33/08, A63H 33/00
US Classification:
446108, 446114, 446478, 446901
Abstract:
A walled structure apparatus generally orientated perpendicular to a horizontal surface, the apparatus including a first panel with a major plane, a corner and a notch, a second panel with a major plane, a corner and a tab received with the notch, and a hinge structure within the notch. The hinge structure generally uniting the panels for movement to a number of selected positions and includes interengaged flexible components permitting inward and outward movement and being generally located within the notch and tab. Through this movement, the walled structure apparatus exhibits a deformed structure.

Toy Wall Panel With Resistive Hinge Connections

US Patent:
2005026, Dec 1, 2005
Filed:
May 29, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/856159
Inventors:
Stewart Jeske - Kansas City MO, US
International Classification:
A63H033/08
US Classification:
446108000
Abstract:
A child's toy comprised of a planar scaled wall panel with connective elements. The wall panel is formed of a planar section of solid material () and has a connecting arm () with a connecting element () at the top corner of one end. A notched void () with a receiving element () is located at the top corner opposite of the connecting arm. When it is used with other like wall panels the construction resembles three-dimensional walls of scaled buildings. The connecting elements when attached together allow resistive rotation simulating plastic deformation of building joints and allowing observation of collapse and partial collapse of the construction.

Sports Shade

US Patent:
6050280, Apr 18, 2000
Filed:
Jun 6, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/092745
Inventors:
Stewart Patrick Jeske - Kansas City MO
International Classification:
E04H 1558
US Classification:
135117
Abstract:
A portable awning producing shade adjacent to ball field fences and dugouts and similar situations comprised of a retractable awning wound around a roller tube, a housing for the awning and roller tube, telescoping legs, guy lines for lateral stability and a handle attached to the housing. The free end of the awning protrudes through an elongated slot in the housing and is attached by snap hooks to a fence. The other end of the awning is attached to the roller tube which is mounted inside of the housing. The housing is vertically supported by the telescoping legs and stabilized by the guy lines attached to the ground. The telescoping legs are attached to the housing by hinges so that the legs may fold adjacent to the housing for stowing. The housing has a handle and restraining straps attached to it for portability and includes storage areas at the ends of the housing provided for the guy lines and stakes. The restraining straps hold the legs parallel to the housing while stowed.
