Combination Solenoid Check Valve

US Patent:
2011030, Dec 22, 2011
Filed:
Feb 9, 2010
Appl. No.:
13/148603
Inventors:
Steven Mesner - Tomah WI, US
International Classification:
F16K 31/02
US Classification:
25112915
Abstract:
A valve () is provided that combines the features of a solenoid valve and a check valve into a singel combination solenoid check valve. The valve utilizes a first check valve () to allow fluid to flow from the outlet passageway () of the valve to a chamber () above the piston () to ensure that the valve remains closed when the outlet pressure in the valve is greater than the inlet pressure. The valve also utilizes a second check valve () that closes a bleed aperture through the piston when the pressure in the chamber above the piston is greater than the inlet pressure.

Pump Flow Restricting Device

US Patent:
2012005, Mar 8, 2012
Filed:
Feb 23, 2010
Appl. No.:
13/264420
Inventors:
Steven Mesner - Tomah WI, US
International Classification:
F16K 31/00
US Classification:
137485
Abstract:
A restrictor mechanism is provided in a pilot operated solenoid valve that restricts the pilot flow to the actuating piston of the valve if the pressure differences within the valve are great. This reduces the actuating forces allowing the valve to open or close softly. As the pressures within the valve start to balance, the restrictor device opens, allowing full pilot flow to hold the valve in position.

Adjustable Fail-Safe Suction Stop Valve

US Patent:
2012024, Sep 27, 2012
Filed:
Nov 23, 2010
Appl. No.:
13/511512
Inventors:
Steven Mark Mesner - Tomah WI, US
Assignee:
PARKER HANNIFIN CORPORATION - Cleveland OH
International Classification:
F16K 31/40
US Classification:
137512
Abstract:
An adjustable fail-safe suction stop valve is provided for provding hot gas defrost in refrigeration applications. The dual position valve () utilizes a single solenoid () and a pair of check valves () in a configuration that allows the evaporator pressure to be internally equalized through the valve to an adjustable setting over the suction pressure after a defrost cycle has occurred. The intermediate stage allows for this equalization to occur in a controlled manner without the need for an equalization valve.
