Fox Hound Award
BACnet International
The Fox Hound Award goes to a company who quickly and stealthily came up from behind in BACnet International. In their first year of membership, the S4 Group, Inc. migrated over 10,000 N2 devices to open BACnet interfaces.
---------
The nomination included the following comments: Steven E. Jones founded The S4 Group, Inc. to provide and promote open systems integration solutions for non-IT and building automation systems (BAS). S4 is a force behind the changing business model in the building automation industry: S4 is vendor agnostic and supports all players in the Building Automation industry. S4 Open appliances unleash the power and freedom of the BACnet protocol. Buildings with proprietary systems, once locked out of the benefits of open system technology, can now benefit from new BACnet services and value added applications, while extending the useful life of existing field level building controllers. During the past year (S4’s first year of BACnet International membership), S4 Open appliances have migrated over 10,000 N2 devices to open BACnet interfaces. Now that’s a splash! Next year, we’re hoping for a CANNONBALLLLLLL!!!
BACnet Success Story
BACnet International
BACnet International recognized the Salvation Army Western Territory Headquarters as a BACnet Success Story. We share that success with our integration partners Integrity Automated Solutions of Brea, CA. Mark Fulton and his team used our S4 Open: BACnet-N2 Router to upgrade a legacy Metasys BAS with Delta Controls technology. Thank you Mark and team for all your hard work to make this a success for all of us!
