Philosophy:
Patient comfort and safety are the most important issues to me. Relief of preoperative anxiety and postoperative pain are key components of comfort. Use of the best equipment enhances patient safety. Parent involvement in pediatric anesthesia enhances parental comfort and decreases anxiety for the child. Appropriate translators should be present at all times for non-English speaking patients.
