Skills:
As a clinical specialist and program manager in various behavioral health settings, I have worked with a wide range of resources at multiple levels of care, working with vulnerable and disabled individuals and families. As the Clinical Specialist at Vinfen, I train staff, provide continuing education, and identify risk and legal issues. My experience working with schools, insurance providers, shelters, churches, domestic violence resources, attorneys, police, PO, community supports, along with DMH, DDS, DCF, DPH, and substance treatment has allowed me to become very familiar with the treatment options within the community, along with the policies and procedures. My position as a psychiatric social worker has given me the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of psychopharmacology and various forms of treatment. As the manager at the Young Adult Program for Advocates, I empowered the young adults with psychiatric diagnosises and developmental delays to expand their limits and reach their fullest potentials to live enjoyable meaningful lives in the community. As a certified Rape Crisis Counselor, I acted as an immediate responder. I would be able to utilize my knowledge and clinical experience to help make improvements to the health care field. My background in business and accounting helped me create and execute new standards for practice, analyze data, prepare charts, tables, and be results oriented in many of my positions. Through-out my career, I have trained interns and new clinicians, along with preparing for licensing, developing new documentation and implementing standards to comply with insurance, HIPPA, and our contracts. I look forward to enhance services that anchor our families to their communities.
