BS, Civil Engineering with Construction Option (CEC)- CEC program offered all core Civil engineering classes (soils, hydraulics, concrete, steel, structural analysis) and additionally wood design, building mechanical and electrical design, contracts and estimating. - Worked in the Bituminous Materials departmant as a graduate assistant, preparing asphalt samples to specific aggregate grading and asphalt proportions. Also created computer programs for batch processing of test data. - Designed and built a heated mold used for creating asphalt test specimens with a rolling wheel compactor. - Designed and built a temperature controlled chamber for testing aphalt specimens. I really didn't like asphalt that much, but it helped pay the bills!
