Abstract:
Systems and devices for industrial, and other, mixing applications are disclosed. The mixer includes a mixing assembly that is attached to a power head which operates the mixing assembly. A housing of the power head encloses a motor that has an input power connection arranged so that power supplied to the power head causes rotation of an output element that, in turn, is attached to the input of an interchangeable reduction gear train. The reduction gear train also includes an output which is coupled to a transfer element configured to slidingly receive a portion of a mixing shaft. An interchangeable impeller attached to one end of the mixing shaft serves to perform the mixing function. Finally, a shaft lock is provided that cooperates with the transfer element to facilitate positioning and locking of the mixing shaft in a variety of different operating positions.
