Leadership
Colorado State University the Professional Learning Institute
- Professional Learning Institute is a program for Colorado State engineering students consisting of five different categories. These categories are ethics, cultural adaptability, innovation, leadership, and civic and public engagement. The idea behind this program is to help university engineers understand the key aspects of what it means to be an engineer. There are a total of 11 sessions.
- I completed the all day Leadership session on October 17, 2009. The group was broken up into 3 sections for the first part of the day to understand communication, ethics, and the work place. In the afternoon, the group was broken up into 4 teams based off extroverted or introverted; two teams consisted of combinations of those two. We participated in an online activity and the goal was to get the most team members up to the top of Mt. Everest. This was used to evaluate each teams ability to work together and lead each other efficiently.
