Dr. Kasim is an Orthopaedic surgeon whose training is in both conservative and operative orthopedic treatment. Her upper extremity fellowship focused on minimally invasive treatment of shoulder, elbow and hand injuries as well as total shoulder and reverse shoulder replacement for arthritis. She also performs surgeries of the hip, knee and ankle including arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction and partial and total knee replacement. Dr. Kasim believes in exhausting all conservative treatment options including physical and occupational therapy, oral medications and injections before advancing to surgical treatment. She also believes that patient education is vital to a rapid and successful recovery.
