I'm a graduate of the US Coast Guard Academy, where I received a degree in Electrical Engineering, played varsity basketball and football, and served as a deck watch officer. Honor, loyalty, integrity, and service are key attributes of who I am. Serving as an officer was just an extension of my upbringing.<br /><br />I've been married since 1997 and have 3 children. One of my children has Type I (Juvenile) Diabetes and another of my children has Down Syndrome...hence my involvement in JDRF and Best Buddies International. I'm sure I will eventually become involved with the Special Olympics as well.<br /><br />I previously worked as a professional engineer and lead diverse teams successfully on large-scale contracts and small R&D projects.
