Dr. Ryan M. Dopirak is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who completed a Fellowship in Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee. He also provides comprehensive care for athletes of all ages. Dr. Dopirak received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University where he was a member of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Team. He earned his medical degree from the Ohio State University and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio. He subsequently moved to Los Angeles for fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Dopirak has lectured, presented research, and/or served as a surgical instructor at more than 30 orthopaedic surgery conferences throughout the country, including numerous courses sponsored by the Arthroscopy Association of North America as well as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has been invited to join the faculty at the prestigious San Diego Shoulder Institute Annual Meeting for the past 5 years, and was also selected to serve as a Surgical Lab Director for this course in both 2010 and 2011. Dr. Dopirak has published numerous scientific articles pertaining to arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine. He recently published the first paper ever written on "Arthroscopic Total Rotator Cuff Replacement" in The International Journal of Shoulder Surgery. He has also served as a manuscript reviewer for Arthroscopy: Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery, as well as Orthopedics. Dr. Dopirak has developed a reputation as a regional expert in arthroscopic shoulder surgery and has successfully treated numerous patients with complicated shoulder disorders from various locations throughout Northeast Wisconsin, as well as parts of Michigan.
