Voltage Conversion Apparatus Suitable For A Pixel Driver And Methods

US Patent:
2013010, May 2, 2013
Filed:
Oct 27, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/283010
Inventors:
Peter Lapidus - Boulder CO, US
David Hollenbeck - Longmont CO, US
Ronald Hathcock - Longmont CO, US
International Classification:
G09G 5/00, G09G 3/36
US Classification:
345212, 345 87
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods are disclosed that can provide for voltage translation and conversion that can be applied, as an example, in a microdisplay including a plurality of pixels that are driven at a pixel drive voltage. A pixel is configured to receive a lower pixel drive voltage for one state of the pixel and an upper pixel drive voltage for an opposite state of the pixel. A memory circuit selectively couples the pixel to the lower voltage and the upper pixel drive voltage in response to control signals operable between the lower voltage and an intermediate voltage level that is less than the upper pixel drive voltage.

Device Having An Interface And Method Thereof

US Patent:
7187598, Mar 6, 2007
Filed:
Apr 5, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/098873
Inventors:
Daniel E. Daugherty - Loveland CO, US
Ronald Scott Hathcock - Longmont CO, US
Steven J. Kommrusch - Fort Collins CO, US
Assignee:
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Sunnyvale CA
International Classification:
G11C 7/00
US Classification:
365194, 365233
Abstract:
A system device receives a first data signal and a first strobe signal from a dual-data-rate (DDR) memory. A first delay value representative of a delay to a predetermined phase location of the first strobe signal is determined. The first delay is adjusted based on a first offset value to generate a first adjusted delay value used to delay the first strobe signal. A first edge of a first pulse of the first delayed strobe signal is used to latch a first data value of the first data signal.

Method And System For Providing A Low Power Memory Array

US Patent:
6950366, Sep 27, 2005
Filed:
Apr 30, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/426761
Inventors:
Peter D. Lapidus - Boulder CO, US
Ronald Scott Hathcock - Longmont CO, US
Assignee:
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Sunnyvale CA
International Classification:
G11C007/00
US Classification:
365227, 365154, 36523004
Abstract:
A method for providing a low power memory array is provided. The method includes partitioning a memory array into at least two memory sections. Each memory section comprises a plurality of memory cells. A sense amplifier is provided for the memory sections. An operation request for a specified memory cell in one of the memory sections is received. The memory section comprising the specified memory cell is accessed. The requested operation is performed on the specified memory cell.
