Individual mental health counseling can help a person to define himself or herself more clearly as a unique person, clarify personal goals, and to work toward maximizing her or his capacity for growth and a more satisfying life. Helping couples to communicate with each other in healthy ways can promote effective resolution of conflicts. No single method of treatment is right for every family. I try to understand the needs of each family member and to help him/her improve his relationship with other family members. Single parent families/non-traditional family units can benefit from family therapy, just as much as traditional families.
