A hands-free lighting system is described. The hands-free lighting system comprises a light and a battery housing coupled to the light. The battery housing is configured to be worn by a user. A hands-free filter assembly suitable for use with a loupe light is described. The hands-free filter assembly includes a filter that moves between an in-use position, where it is filtering light from the loupe light, and a non-use position, where it is not filtering light from the loupe light.
