The present invention is an improved snow shovel with a uniquely designed bottom surface on the blade of the snow shovel. This consists of a wedge like protrusion located at the working edge portion of the blades' lower surface, extending back towards the rear of the blade for a distance of about two inches, with the acute angle, or the sharp portion of the wedge being the forward working edge of the blade. By lowering the handle of said snow shovel about ten inches, the rear portion of this wedge like protrusion will act as a fulcrum to lift the working edge of the blade up, so that the edge of the blade can slid up, over and past any vertical obstruction such as caused by a crack or the expansion joints in a concrete sidewalk that has one edge of the crack or expansion joint higher than the other edge creating a vertical barrier to the forward travel of the snow shovel as it is pushed forward on the sidewalk. This protuberance will also act as a reinforcement to the working edge of the blade, due to the extra amount of material the blade is made of, at the point of the most wear and abrasion, resulting in a much longer lasting snow shovel. as stated above the protruion could be of other shapes in cross section, such as half round or a wide “V”. A set of small wheels placed in the same position as the said protrusion will also serve as a fulcrum whenever the handle of said snow shovel is pushed downward for a small distance. Another improvement is the polishing, and/or treating, and/or coating the blade with an anti stick coating such as teflon.

The present invention is a dental prophylactic polishing cup of unique design and shape having uniquely shaped turbine like vanes or ribs positioned at an angle to the long axis of the prophy cup in such a manner, that as the prophy cup is rotated during a dental prophylaxis the polishing paste held in the cup and brought to bear against the surface of the tooth will be acted on by the said turbine like vanes or ribs forcing the polishing paste back into the cup counteracting the forces that tend to dislodge and throw the paste out of the cup. Thus the polishing paste is held in the cup for a longer period of time and for a greater number of revolutions of the cup for greater efficiency reducing the number of times the prophy cup must be refilled or reloaded, saving time effort and materials, and making the whole procedure less messy. The turbine like vanes or ribs also make the prophy cup easier to load or fill as the vanes draw the paste into the cup as it is rotated against the polishing paste container. This prophy cup can be made in many different shapes with many varieties as to number and size of the vanes and manners used to attach said cup to the prophy-angle.

The present invention is a dental prophylactic polishing paste container-dispenser of unique design, shape and size having an integral ring like holding device as part of the body member to be unfolded or pulled down and used to secure the container-dispenser to the hand of the operator by slipping the ring like device over one of the fingers where it will be held securely by the memory of the plastic ring like device trying to return to its original position. The present invention is designed to allow the prophy cup to be inserted easily and fully able to reach all the internal surfaces of the container-dispenser. The present invention has sloping sides that angle downward and inward at about fourty degrees to meet a smallish bottom surface area that is only slightly larger in diameter than the diameter of the open end of the prophy cup allowing the operator to push any remaining polishing paste down the sloping side of the container-dispenser to the smallish bottom area trapping the polishing paste in the open end of the prophy cup. The present invention will contain and dispense sterile individual portions of polishing paste with an infinite variety as to flavor, color, grit, medicaments and eliminate cross contamination while being easy to manufacture and use, saving materials, time, effort, frustration and money.
