Philosophy:
Primary Care Optometry, means treating and monitoring the eyes for all possible problems. I help patients to see the world around them. I try to prevent future problems, with yearly eye health exams. I can detect macular degeneration in it's early stages while it is still possible to prevent severe visual loss. I fit kids with special GP contact lenses that can slow the progression of nearsightedness. I evaluate kids for vision related learning disabilities and prevent their vision from effecting their school performance. Vision leads the human body through life, and is the one sense that determines how we relate to our enviroment, and is responsible for 90% of learning. There is more to vision then seeing clearly, by evaluating how the eyes coordinate, track, focus, fuse together and how the brain processes the visual information, we can improve the performance of the patient, and relieve conditions that cause eye strain and poor performance in school and at work.
