Philosophy:
When you are struggling with a problem, it is helpful to talk to
someone who is understanding, friendly, nonjudgmental, objective, safe, and is knowledgeable about psychological or emotional difficulties and how to resolve them. Just being listened to with respect and understanding is therapeutic. And having someone knowledgeable
about your problem is like going to an expert coach to learn or improve a physical skill.
My goal is to help you solve your
life problems and improve your life skills to make changes for the
better. I will start by helping you describe the difficulties and
circumstances that are contributing to your distress. Then I will help you gain new insight and ways of thinking about your situation and
will offer proven methods to make the changes you want to make.
