As a family physician, I care for people of all ages. I emphasize prevention to keep patients healthy. I have worked with many of my patients and their families for over 25 years, and relationships are what I value most about my practice. I have extra certification in geriatrics, and that is a significant part of my practice, though I still see pediatric patients and enjoy all ages. I see patients in my own office in the Pavilion at TMC-Lakewood, and I spend about half of my time in the education of medical students and family medicine residents. I find working with learners keeps me more current in my practice and is also very fulfilling. The specialty of Family Medicine is, I believe, the best hope for providing the US with high quality, cost-efficient care.
