Philosophy:
I am fellowship trained in total joint replacement, having done my fellowship year in 1992-3 at Johns Hopkins University. I no longer do surgery because I have had my own orthopaedic problems, and therefore am limited to a non-operative practice. This gives me more time to spend with patients. I enjoy explaining issues to patients, and try to give unbiased opinions. When I suggest that the patient needs surgery, patients know that I don't have any secondary gain, as I would not be the one to do it.
