Bouncer Infant Carrier

US Patent:
4982997, Jan 8, 1991
Filed:
Sep 5, 1989
Appl. No.:
7/402234
Inventors:
Roy E. Knoedler - Boulder CO
Robert M. Parker - Aurora CO
William G. Au - Northglenn CO
Albert W. Gebhard - Denver CO
Assignee:
Snugli, Inc. - Lakewood CO
International Classification:
A47D 1302
US Classification:
297296
Abstract:
An infant carrier is provided which is capable of being positioned in various configurations in order to suit the various activities in which a infant can be involved. The body of the carrier is movably attached to the base in order that they can be moved to various positions relative one another. In a first position, the body of the carrier and the base are adjacent one another and in a second position the carrier body is moved a limited distance away from the base. In this second position, the carrier body is capable of a bouncing motion which can be activated by the infant's own movement or another person's touch. Preferably additional configurations, such as configurations in which an infant in the infant carrier can be easily fed or carried, are also obtainable.

Collapsible Infant Seat

US Patent:
5207478, May 4, 1993
Filed:
Feb 28, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/662163
Inventors:
Theodore B. Freese - Westminster CO
Robert M. Parker - Aurora CO
Gregg W. Harvey - Boulder CO
Assignee:
Gerry Baby Products Company - Denver CO
International Classification:
A47D 1310
US Classification:
297296
Abstract:
An infant seat having a seating surface positionable between upright and reclined orientations, the seating surface being supported by arms which are connected to torsion springs in a base, the torsion springs providing a bouncing motion to the seating surface in both the upright and reclined orientations. The base includes a rear support member which pivots between a support position, in which the member is substantially coplanar with the base, and a collapsed or folded position, in which the support member is pivoted adjacent to the seating surface. In a preferred embodiment, the connection between the seating surface and support arms includes a pivot plate pivotally connected to the seating surface and support arms and includes a slot engaged by a shoulder rivet attached to the support arms which defines limits of pivotable movement of the seating surface. The rear support member preferably includes nock fittings at its ends which engage the torsion springs and are held in engagement by extension springs captured within the rear support member ends. When the infant seat is adjusted to the collapsed or folded position, the nock fittings are disengaged from the torsion springs and pivoted toward the seating surface.

Abstract:
Combination bathtub and infant-supporting insert are provided with interengagable members for firmly holding the insert in any of multiple inclined positions, enabling support of an infant on its back from a near horizontal position shortly after birth to a near-upright position at the stage that it is almost ready to outgrow the tub. The tub and insert are each preferably injection molded as a single piece from an appropriate plastic material. The infant-supporting surface is smoothly contoured to properly support the back, head and bottom of the infant in all angles of inclination, regardless of the infant's size.

Coaxial Cable Fitting And Crimping Tool

US Patent:
7188507, Mar 13, 2007
Filed:
Aug 27, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/927884
Inventors:
Randall A. Holliday - Broomfield CO, US
Robert M. Parker - Aurora CO, US

Vehicle Seat For A Child

US Patent:
4984845, Jan 15, 1991
Filed:
Apr 14, 1989
Appl. No.:
7/338299
Inventors:
Roy E. Knoedler - Boulder CO
William G. Au - Northglenn CO
Robert M. Parker - Aurora CO
Assignee:
Gerry Baby Products Company - Denver CO
International Classification:
A47D 110
US Classification:
297250
Abstract:
A child's car seat is provided that includes a seat belt assembly and a shield assembly. The seat belt assembly includes a seat belt that engages the lap of the child. A vehicle seat belt retains the car seat at the back of the vehicle seat. The seat belt of the child's car seat remains fixed in position once the child is secured in position. As a result, the child cannot extend the length of the seat belt and defeat its restraining purpose. The shield assembly can be positioned on either of two different sides to facilitate seating/unseating of the child in/from the car seat. The shield assembly can be removed whereby remaining portions of the car seat can be used with a vehicle lap belt to support and restrain the child.
