Abstract:
A mask for delivery of gas, such as oxygen, to a patient and useable in a naso-gastric intubation procedure without disruption of the seal between the mask and the face of the patient. The body of the mask includes an opening through which the naso-gastric tube may be inserted. The opening comprises a vertical lining and first and second coupling members on either side thereof and above a peripheral edge of the mask, which may be closed below the tube to provide an enhanced seal for the mask. The coupling members may comprise hook and loop members, a snap, a button, or interlocking members.
