Philosophy:
I offer a general psychotherapy practice treating adolescents, adults. and couples. My approach is to listen carefully and strive to elicit and understand what is hurting, where the pain is, and why. My treatment is highly individualized, based upon a thorough evaluation and discussion of the treatment options, in close collaboration with each patient. I utilize whatever method(s) best suits the patient, and I am trained and experienced in providing Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychoanalysis, Phase-specific Trauma Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I specialize in Trauma, the psychological effects of cancer and other medical illnesses, Musicians and Artists, Depression, Anxiety, Phobias, OCD, Self-Mutilation, Dissociative Identity Disorder.
