Electro-Kinetic Air Transporter-Conditioner Devices With A Enhanced Collector Electrode For Collecting More Particulate Matter

US Patent:
2002012, Sep 5, 2002
Filed:
Feb 12, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/074103
Inventors:
Robert Sinaiko - San Francisco CA, US
Charles Taylor - Sebastopol CA, US
International Classification:
B01J019/08
US Classification:
422/186000
Abstract:
Air transporter-conditioner for removing particles from the air has a first electrode assembly and a second electrode assembly for creating an air flow and collecting particulates within the air flow as the air passes through the first and second electrode assembly. An embodiment of the device has dual inlet and dual outlet in order to enhance the airflow therethrough. An embodiment includes a collector electrode with multiple surfaces in order to enhance particle collection.

Externally Controlled Intestinal Content Sampler

US Patent:
5316015, May 31, 1994
Filed:
Jul 30, 1992
Appl. No.:
7/922148
Inventors:
Robert J. Sinaiko - San Francisco CA
International Classification:
A61B 500
US Classification:
128769
Abstract:
Intestinal content sampling device having a capsule which is adapted to be swallowed and to pass through the intestinal tract. The capsule has an opening through which a sample can pass and a closure member for closing off the opening once a sample has been obtained. The closure member is held in an open position against a closing force by a magnetically actuated latch which, in the disclosed embodiments, comprises a pendulum which is set into vibration by an externally applied magnetic field to release the latch.

Biofeedback System For Training Abdominal Muscles

US Patent:
5728027, Mar 17, 1998
Filed:
Jun 3, 1997
Appl. No.:
8/868040
Inventors:
Robert J. Sinaiko - San Francisco CA
International Classification:
A61B 5103
US Classification:
482 4
Abstract:
A biofeedback system for training the abdominal muscles uses a belt or waistband with a buckle which includes switches, at least one switch modifying a music tape source which is, for example, mounted on the belt. The belt buckle is expandable so that with the abdominal muscles (abs) relaxed, a switch will be in one position, and with the abs tensed, it will be in another, to appropriately modify the sound source. This is fed back to the user via the headphones so that when he recognized the modification the user will be encouraged to re-tense the abs.

Dual Input And Outlet Electrostatic Air Transporter-Conditioner

US Patent:
2002014, Oct 10, 2002
Filed:
Feb 12, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/074549
Inventors:
Robert Sinaiko - San Francisco CA, US
Charles Taylor - Sebastopol CA, US
Jim Lee - San Francisco CA, US
International Classification:
B01J019/08
US Classification:
422/186040
Abstract:
An electro-kinetic air transporter-conditioner creates airflow with an electrode assembly that includes a first array of electrodes and a second array of electrodes. The innermost electrodes of the second array are preferably located further away from the first array than the outermost electrodes in the second array. This non-equidistant configuration equalizes the electrical fields created at the tip of each electrode within the second array. Reducing the electrical field at the innermost electrodes also reduces the amount of ozone generated by the device.
