Extrusion Dredging Apparatus

Extrusion Dredging Apparatus

US Patent:
5561922, Oct 8, 1996
Filed:
Aug 22, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/517664
Inventors:
Robert P. Lynch - Tulsa OK
International Classification:
E02F 392
US Classification:
37317
Abstract:
A marine dredging device comprised of scoop buckets pivotally connected to a reciprocating mechanism that extrudes soil into a receiver chamber and thence to upwardly extending soil transport tubes. Powered helices in the transport tubes serve to propel soil upwards to a discharge chute. Deployable silt curtains serve to close off the aperture between the scoop buckets and prevent the escape of sediments.

Filed:
Jan 15, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/641479
Inventors:
Robert P. Lynch - Tulsa OK
International Classification:
A63B 2202
US Classification:
482 5
Abstract:
An exercising device combining an inclinable treadmill with an upper body exercising assembly having two or more sets of levers with handles. The resistance loading of each set of levers may be independently controlled and varied. This device combines strength training which aerobic exercise. Computerized controls and monitors are used. The device may be used in a weightless environment.

Treadmill Exercise Device Combined With Weight Load

Treadmill Exercise Device Combined With Weight Load

US Patent:
5000440, Mar 19, 1991
Filed:
Feb 7, 1990
Appl. No.:
7/478059
Inventors:
Robert P. Lynch - Tulsa OK
International Classification:
A63B 2202
US Classification:
272 69
Abstract:
This is an exercising device combining a treadmill with an upper body muscle stressing device. An upright frame is supported from the base of the treadmill. A weight support frame is pivotally attached to the upper end of such frame. Weights are supported from the exercising frame. The exerciser lifts up on the exercising frame while weights exert a downward force. At the same time, the exerciser is using the treadmill to obtain aerobic level exercise.

Marine Continuous Pipe Laying System

Marine Continuous Pipe Laying System

US Patent:
4410297, Oct 18, 1983
Filed:
Jan 19, 1981
Appl. No.:
6/226389
Inventors:
Robert P. Lynch - Tulsa OK
International Classification:
B23B 3504, F16L 100, E02F 502
US Classification:
405164
Abstract:
A marine continuous pipe laying system comprising a variable departure angle reel operably connected to a retractable trenching plow and backfilling apparatus. The reel comprises a pipe straightening mechanism connected to the rotational axis of the reel by a yoke for automatically maintaining proper bending moment regardless of the departure angle of the pipe. The plow comprises a shaped chisel share which is pivotally retractable within a sled frame for avoiding existing pipelines and varying the depth of cut and is provided with instrumented guide rollers to permit an operator to adjust the tow length of the plow to properly position the plow with respect to the catenary curve of the pipe being laid. The distance between the plow and the backfilling apparatus is adjustable to insure that the pipe is in the bottom of the trench before backfilling occurs.

Marine Pipeline Trenching Plow For Simultaneous Pipe Laying And Entrenchment

Marine Pipeline Trenching Plow For Simultaneous Pipe Laying And Entrenchment

US Patent:
4986697, Jan 22, 1991
Filed:
Jan 19, 1989
Appl. No.:
7/299045
Inventors:
Robert P. Lynch - Tulsa OK
Assignee:
Lyntech Corporation - Tulsa OK
International Classification:
F16L 104
US Classification:
405165
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for simultaneously digging a trench in the bottom of a body of water and laying a pipe from a barge therein. The plow is provided with vertical side plates to assist in molding the side of the cut trench so an inclined ramp can move the soil upwardly where it is diverted to each side of the trench. The pipe being laid is extended from a working barge through a hiatus at the aft end of the trenching device. The position of the pipe in the hiatus is monitored and that information is used to properly position the barge with respect to the trenching machine. In one embodiment a gas/oil spring supports the lower horizontal roller at the bottom of the hiatus.
