Streaming Current Detector Probe

Streaming Current Detector Probe

US Patent:
5121062, Jun 9, 1992
Filed:
Aug 16, 1990
Appl. No.:
7/568589
Inventors:
Robert F. Bean - Spring City PA
Steven K. Dentel - Newark DE
Assignee:
Milton Roy Company - St. Petersburg FL
International Classification:
G01N 2760
US Classification:
324453
Abstract:
A streaming current detector has a reciprocating piston with a sensing region having a uniform clearance from the casing which is sufficiently large to avoid significant shearing of the particles in the fluid of the sample stream. A separate guiding region of the piston has a sufficiently tight fit in the casing for smooth reciprocation. A relief region of the piston has the largest clearance from the casing to provide a sufficiently large area to control a constant low velocity of the sample fluid.

Multiplex Reciprocating Pump

Multiplex Reciprocating Pump

US Patent:
8454328, Jun 4, 2013
Filed:
Jan 12, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/352041
Inventors:
Taya Kotlyar - Warwick PA, US
Joel E. Higbee - Horsham PA, US
Robert Bean - Spring City PA, US
Alex Kotlyar - Warwick PA, US
Assignee:
Milton Roy Company - Ivyland PA
International Classification:
F04B 17/00
US Classification:
417415
Abstract:
A reciprocating pump assembly comprises: a motor with a rotary motor drive shaft; a cam coupled to the motor drive shaft with an axis of rotation and a cam channel cut generally axially into a radial face of the cam; and multiple reciprocating pump units arranged radially about the cam axis of rotation, each with an inlet valve, an outlet valve, a plunger and a plunger sleeve, with a free end of its plunger coupled to the cam by way of a cam follower riding in the cam channel; wherein rotation of the motor output drive shaft causes the plunger in each pump unit to independently reciprocate in its respective sleeve.

Metering Pump

Metering Pump

US Patent:
6283727, Sep 4, 2001
Filed:
Apr 18, 2000
Appl. No.:
9/551500
Inventors:
David M. Borish - Morrisville PA
Robert F. Bean - Spring City PA
Richard J. Caspar - West Chester PA
Assignee:
Milton Bay - Ivyland PA
International Classification:
F04B 1700, F04B 3500
US Classification:
417379
Abstract:
The compact, easily useable metering pump results from a structure including a housing (20) with a pumping chamber (34) within the housing (20). A diaphragm (36) is located in the pumping chamber (34). An inlet includes a check valve (50) for allowing fluid to flow to one side of the diaphragm (36) but not the reverse and an outlet including a check valve (56) allows fluid to flow from the pumping chamber (34) but not into it. A pneumatically operated hydraulic pump (16) is located in the housing (20) and cycles the diaphragm (36).
