Highway Marker

US Patent:
4111581, Sep 5, 1978
Filed:
Jan 3, 1978
Appl. No.:
5/866261
Inventors:
Robert S. Auriemma - Bethel PA
International Classification:
E01F 900
US Classification:
404 10
Abstract:
A highway marker having a base inserted into a hole formed in highway pavement so that the upper surface of the base is below the surface of the pavement and an integral upstanding flexible tab which projects above the surface of the highway. A light reflecting member is secured on one side of the tab for reflecting light directed against the member to indicate the location of the marker. The height of the tab is less than the distance from the base of the tab to the side of the marker facing away from the light reflecting member so that when a vehicle is driven over the marker the tab is bent down against the top of the base below the surface of the pavement and flexes back to the upright position upon passage of the vehicle. The surface of the light reflecting member may be angled back at a 4. degree. angle with respect to the vertical to improve reflection back to drivers of vehicles approaching the marker.

Underground Drainage Pipe

US Patent:
4065925, Jan 3, 1978
Filed:
May 3, 1976
Appl. No.:
5/682492
Inventors:
Robert Sinbad Auriemma - Bethel PA
International Classification:
F16L 2100, E02B 1100
US Classification:
61 11
Abstract:
An underground drainage pipe having a trough, a roof and wings extending outwardly and downwardly from the junction between the trough lips and the roof. Specialized water intake holes are formed through the thickness of the trough lips beneath the wings. The drain pipe may be formed from extruded uniform cross section stock having alignment means for orienting bits used to drill the drainage holes.

Coupling For Spiral Drain Pipe

US Patent:
4061368, Dec 6, 1977
Filed:
Sep 25, 1975
Appl. No.:
5/616869
Inventors:
Robert Sinbad Auriemma - Bethel PA
International Classification:
F16L 2500
US Classification:
285383
Abstract:
A coupling for joining spiral underground drainage pipes includes a cylinderical body with an inner circumferential flange and locking projections. When the coupling is rotated on to the drainage pipes the ends of the pipes are held flush on the flange and the inner surface of the flange forms a smooth continuation of the inner surfaces of the pipes.

Underground Drainage Pipe

US Patent:
4102135, Jul 25, 1978
Filed:
Apr 1, 1977
Appl. No.:
5/783767
Inventors:
Robert Sinbad Auriemma - Bethel PA
International Classification:
E02B 1100
US Classification:
61 10
Abstract:
An extruded plastic drainage pipe having long narrow drainage openings with a width of about one eighth inch to limit the flow of particulate matter through the openings and into the pipe. The circumferential extend of the trough is greater than that of the roof and the thickness of both the roof and trough decrease from either side of the centers thereof. The lips of the trough join the roof at approximately 90. degree. to provide a construction particularly adapted to withstand high loading forces without collapse.

Underground Drainage Pipe

US Patent:
4183696, Jan 15, 1980
Filed:
Apr 27, 1978
Appl. No.:
5/900509
Inventors:
Robert S. Auriemma - Bethel PA
International Classification:
E02B 1100
US Classification:
405 43
Abstract:
An improved underground drainage pipe formed of an extruded stiffly flexible plastic member having a trough with spaced upstanding lips and an integral overlying roof with triangular shaped drainage openings formed through the lips at regular intervals along the length of the pipe. When buried, the drainage openings resist clogging by gravel or pebbles in the surrounding soil thereby improving the drainage capability of the pipe. The thickness of the trough increases from the center point to the lips thereby compensating for the drainage openings and enabling the pipe to withstand vertical loading forces.

Traffic Delineator Post

US Patent:
4245922, Jan 20, 1981
Filed:
Apr 2, 1979
Appl. No.:
6/026014
Inventors:
Robert S. Auriemma - Bethel PA
International Classification:
E01F 900
US Classification:
404 10
Abstract:
A rigid self-supporting highway delineator post having reflective material mounted at the upper end and a first flex area at a height above grade and a second flex area located immediately below the reflective material whereby the post is non-destructively bent down about the lower flex area when hit by a moving vehicle and may be bent about the upper flex area to facilitate removal and insertion of sheets of reflective material.
