I am an eclectic practitioner. I will draw on Freud, behavior therapies, eft, hypnosis and whatever else "works". Since effectiveness research teaches us that it is the practitioner-client relationship that is at the core of healing, I work on building rapport that will enable us to explore the range of behaviors, thoughts, and feelings that impede a person's mental health. I don't believe that there are any quick fixes -- but I will work in a problem-focused way.
