Interests:
Re'Lynn Hansen is interested in the intersections between essay and poem. Her work has been published in Hawai'i Review, Rhino, New Madrid, Water~Stone Review, New South, and Poem Memoir Story. Her online contributions can be viewed at qreviewonline.com and contrary.com. Her chapbook 25 Sightings of the Ivory Billed Woodpecker is forthcoming from Firewheel Press. Her novel, Take Me to the Underground, was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award. She is the recent recipient of the New South Prose Prize, and has been nominated for a Pushcart. She is also a photographer whose image and word work has been in curated shows and journals. She teaches in the Creative Nonfiction Program at Columbia College Chicago and is the editor of the creative nonfiction journal, South Loop Review: Creative Nonfiction + Art.
