Abstract:
A sterilized environment is provided for interacting with an open wound by directing a flow of dense, sterilized gas to an open tissue site and holding the dense sterilized gas within the vicinity of the open tissue site using a dam. The gas may be densified by cooling the gas relative to the ambient temperature. A portable unit filters un-sterile gas with a HEPA or other high efficiency filter. The filtered gas is cooled and further purified with a UVC lamp.

Abstract:
An operating table has first bed platforms, each which can rotate. In an operating configuration, the patient lies on one of the bed platforms in a prone or supine position with the bed platform centered over the base. When the patient needs to be turned, the other table extends outwardly, and both tables are rotated to position the patient for turning. Once the patient is turned, the table on which the patient lies is returned to its operating position over the base and the other table is returned to its storage position.

A gurney is height adjustable with a locking mechanism to interact with other patient devices, such as patient beds and operating tables. The gurney one or more rotational and/or extending bed platforms to aid in the transfer of patients. Electronic controls are used to simplify operation of the gurney in transferring and transporting patients.
